Guitar Notation Legend

Tablature Definition

A six-line staff that graphically represents the guitar fingerboard, with the top line indicating the highest sounding string (high E). By placing a number on the appropriate line, the string and fret of any note can be indicated. The number 0 represents an open string. An 'X' means to muffle, not let it ring.

Uma conjunto de seis linhas Horizontais que representa graficamente o braço do guitarra, com a linha de cima, indicando a corda mais aguda (E alta). Ao colocar um número na linha apropriada, a corda e traste de qualquer nota pode ser indicado. O número 0 representa uma corda solta. Um 'X' significa para abafar, não deixar soar.

Bend 1

Strike the note and bend up ½ step (one fret).

Toque a nota indicada e suba seu registro  ½ tom (um traste).

Bend 2

Strike the note and bend up a whole step (two frets).

Toque a nota indicada e suba seu registro 1 tom (dois trastes).

Bend & Release

Strike the note and bend up ½ (or whole) step, then release the bend back to the original note. All three notes are tied, only the first note is struck.

Toque a nota e suba seu registro meio tom ou um tom (o que estiver indicado), depois volte a afinação original. As três notas são ligadas. Apenas a primeira é atacada.

Pre-Bend

Bend the note up ½ (or whole) step, then strike it.

Toque a nota e suba seu registro meio tom ou um tom (o que estiver indicado) e, após chegar a nota desejada ataque a nota.

Pre-Bend & Release

Bend the note up ½ (or whole) step, strike it, and release the bend back to the original note.

Suba o registro da nota indicada meio tom ou um tom (o que estiver indicado) e, após chegar a afinação desejada ataque a nota, voltando ao registro original em seguida.

Unison Bend

Strike the two note simultaneously and bend the lower note to the pitch of the higher.

Ataque as duas notas simultaneamente e suba o registro da nota mais grave para a afinação da nota mais aguda ou pra quantos tons forem indicados.

Vibrato

Vibrate the note by rapidly bending and releasing the string with a left-hand finger.

Vibre a nota rapidamente com o dedo da mão esquerda efetuando pequenos “bends & release”.

Wide (Exaggerated) Vibrato

Vibrate the pitch to a greater degree with a left-hand finger or tremolo bar.

Vibre a nota de forma exagerada como o dedo da mão esquerda (com grande mudança de registro), utilizando os dedos da mão esquerda ou alavanca (quando indicado).

Slide 1

Strike the first note and then with the same left hand finger move up the string to the second note. The second note is not struck.

Ataque a primeira nota  com o dedo da mão esquerda e, com o mesmo dedo deslize em direção a segunda nota escrita, que não deve ser palhetada ou atacada.

Slide 2

Strike the first note and then with the same left hand finger move up the string to the second note and strike the second note.

Ataque a primeira nota com o dedo da mão esquerda deslize até a segunda e ataque novamente.

Slide 3

Slide up to the note indicated from a few frets below.

Deslize até à nota indicada partindo de alguns trastes abaixo.

Hammer-On

Strike the first (lower) note, then sound the higher note with another finger by fretting it without picking.

Ataque a primeira nota (mais grave), digitando a próxima nota com o outro dedo sem palhetar. A denominação hammer-on é utilizada quando vamos de uma nota grave para outra mais aguda, “martelando” a nota.

Pull-Off

Place both fingers on the notes to be sounded. Strike the 1st (higher) note, then sound the lower note by pulling the finger off the higher note while keeping the lower note fretted.

Coloque os dois ou mais dedos sobre as notas indicadas na tablatura, ataque a nota mais aguda deixe soar a nota ou as notas mais graves sem atacá-las, apenas retirando o dedo da nota do registro mais alto. O pull-off vai da nota mais aguda para a mais grave.

Trill

Very rapidly alternate between the note indicated and the small note shown in parentheses by hammering on and pulling off.

Alterne rapidamente entre a nota indicada e a nota pequena que esta entre parenteses martelando ou puxando (hammer-on ou pull-off).

Tapping

Hammer ("tap") the fret indicated with the right hand index or middle finger and pull off to the note fretted by the left hand.

“Martele” o traste indicado pelo circulo com dedo indicador ou médio da mão direita e execute um pull-off para a nota digitando com a mão esquerda.

Natural Harmonic

With a left hand finger, lightly touch the string over the fret indicated then strike it. A chime-like sound is produced.

Com um dedo da mão esquerda, toque levemente sobre o traste indicado e palhete a nota, deixando-a soar sem interferências durante o tempo indicado na partitura.

Artificial Harmonic

Fret the note normally and set the harmonic by adding the right hand thumb edge or index finger tip to the normal pick attack.

Digite a nota normalmente, mas deixe parte de seu dedo polegar ou indicador da mão direita em contato (levemente) com a corda enquanto palheta.

Tremolo Bar

Drop the note by the number of steps indicated, then return to original pitch.

Abaixe ou suba o registro da nota utilizando a alavanca e retorne a afinação original. Siga a orientação de quantos tons será mudada a afinação. Para cima, sinal +. Para baixo, sinal -.

Palm Mute

With the right hand, partially mute the note by lightly touching the string just before the bridge.

Repouse parcialmente a palma da mão direita sobre as cordas, logo a frente da ponte, abafando-as.

Muffled Strings

Lay the left hand across the strings without depressing them to the fret board; strike the strings with the right hand, producing a percussive sound.

Deixe a mão esquerda repousar sobre as cordas sem digita-las. Mas você deve palhetar, produzindo assim um som percussivo.

Pick Slide

Rub the pick edge down the length of the string to produce a scratchy sound.

Escorregue a lateral da palheta sobre a corda indicada, obtendo assim o efeito característico.

Tremolo Picking

Pick the note as rapidly  and continuously as possible.

Palhete a nota indicada o mais rápido e continuamente possível.

Rhythm Slashes

Strum chords in rhythm indicated. Use chord voicings found in the fingering diagrams at the top of the first page of the transcription.

Dedilhar acordes no ritmo indicado. Usar aberturas de acordes encontradas nos diagramas de dedilhado na parte superior da primeira página da transcrição.

Single Note Rhythm Slashes

The circled number above the note name indicates which string to play. When successive notes are played on the same string, only the fret numbers are given.

O número circulou acima do nome da nota indica qual a corda tocar. Quando as notas sucessivas são tocadas na mesma corda, só os números dos trastes são dados.
